My father loved his cowboy hats and I think it must have rubbed off on me. He was born dirt poor and the youngest of 13 siblings raised on a farm in Nebraska. He had to get up at the crack of dawn every day to feed the chickens and milk the cows. He was a cowboy in every sense of the word. He never got new clothes as he would always get his brothers hand me downs. Anyway, there weren't too many days out of the year you would catch him without his cowboy hat. Love to greet friends and even strangers with, "Howdy, partner!" He had so many lines like "don't bite off more than you can chew". However, one line stood out and stuck with me, "Stand for something or you'll fall for anything".
